CONE-SHAPED ROOFS SURFACE PATTERN

You might have come across this problem: you start the "Roof by footprint" tool to model a cone-shaped roof, apply a material with vertical or horizontal lines surface pattern, and ends up displaying incorrectly like this:

Well here is one solution for that. Instead you can model your roof as a MASS. Then you apply the "create roof" command.

Finally, use the "Roof by face" tool, and you will have your chosen roof type with the correct surface pattern as you had expected from the beginning.
